Karaiya's New Seafood Hot Pot Platter

Another genius creation by Alan Wong, founder of the Hatsune Restaurant Group is Karaiya Spice House's new Seafood Hot Pot.

Designed to be shared between 2-4 people, this hot pot feast comes with a giant clay pot of free-range chicken soup, a  generous serving of 7 different types of seafood, a bouquet of fresh vegetables and a specialty dipping sauce for all the seafood and vegetables post-dunking and cooking in chicken soup.

LDS Tip: I recommend first serving up bowls of this tasty soup prior to dunking anything in.

Here's the breakdown of what's included in Karaiya's New Seafood Hot Pot:

  • Clay Pot of free-range chicken soup

  • Shrimp

  • Slivers of Mandarin Fish

  • Various Shellfish: Abalone, Mussels, Clams, Razor Clams, etc.

  • Fresh Vegetables: Spinach, Cabbage, Rocket Salad, Enoki Mushrooms, etc.

  • Specialty Seafood Dipping Sauce

Total price: RMB 358 (shared between 2-4 pax)

Since we were a table of 8, we ordered a few of our favorite dishes to enjoy alongside our seafood hot pot.

In the end, we realized we ordered far too much food but we were happy to take the left-overs to go!

Mauritius / Sunway Travel Group

Mauritius lies in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, approximately 3000 kilometres off the east coast of Africa. The population of Mauritius is just over 1 million and consists of Muslims, Hindus, Chinese, Creoles and Europeans creating a colourful and harmonious blend of cultures. The island is a warm and welcoming paradise with its average daily temperature at 25°c and rarely under 13°c at night. The sunny season is to be enjoyed all year round with highest temperatures from November to April. Apart from the south coast, Mauritius is surrounded by coral reefs making it an enticing playground for divers and water sports enthusiasts alike. Who should go to Mauritius? In our opinion everybody. That is of course if you enjoy sun, sea, sand, relaxation, excellent & diverse cuisine, beautiful scenery, a first class hotel set within exquisite surroundings and friendly welcoming smiles. Mauritius has a reputation for being a Honeymoon haven. But you dont have to be a honeymooner to realise that Mauritius has that very special something that will make your stay the experience of a lifetime.
