- Cormorant fisherman
Kenny Muir has added a photo to the pool:
Cormorant fishing has all but died out now in this part of China with many of the remaining fishermen only there to serve the tourists. Given the volume of traffic on the river and the number of people living around the river I would be surprised if there were enough fish remaining in the river to make it viable.
This was a spot of luck seeing one down here. They are very alert to photographers - as a source of money but I wasn't close enough to notice me - Before the horse race, the horses are blessed, Tibet 2012

Very much away from any tourist trail, a local horse race festival.
Horse racing is an activity beloved by Tibetan people, for it is not only an assemblement for leisure time and exchanging farming experience, but also a show of horse racing spirit of local people.
Before the horse race starts, the horses are blessed. Tibetans circumambulate there horses arround a heap of stones where they are burning incense of himalayan juniper. Walking trough the incense smoke and throwing paper prayerflags called lungta ("wind horse", colorful papers, which represent good luck and life force) to the air. - Before the horse race, the horses are blessed, Tibet 2012

The Ministry of Tourism has submitted a report to this effect to various ministries for approval, officials of the ministry said.
The report was prepared by a team chaired by Joint Secretary Mohan Krishna Sapkota at the Ministry of Tourism.
It mainly proposes to establishing diplomatic offices in various parts of China to facilitate prospective tourists and set up visa facilitation service centres in big cities in China.
The report also floats a cost-free visa regime for Chinese tourists but that has been marked as an optional category.
In November 2001, China included Nepal in the list of Approved Destination Status countries for outbound Chinese tourists.
In 2011, a total of 75,517 Chinese tourists visited Nepal, a multifold increase as compared to 8,000 arrivals of the Chinese nationals in 2001.
