"Arj Barker is an intelligent, droll comic with a dark turn of thought and a fantastic, disturbing stage persona. There is a richness to Barker's work and a maturity and gift for extrapolation which set him apart"The Age, Melbourne

The Punchline Comedy Club is hosting a first-class stand up comedy show starring American comedian Arj Barker and two comedians from the UK Steve Gribbin and John Fothergill.

While Arj Barker has appeared on late-night comedy shows like Conan O'Brien Late Night Show and has twice hosted Comedy Central Presents, he's probably best known for his character Dave, Bret and Jemaine's indifferent friend, in the HBO TV sitcom Flight of the Conchordsa show about a two-man band from New Zealand as they seek fame and success in New York City.

'A true alchemist who takes observations and transmutes them into comedy gold…There is no way he can avoid being a megastar.' Independent on Sunday, London

Steve Gribbin is both a musician and comedian "combining razor sharp lyrics with annoyingly catchy tunes and devastatingly funny humour".

"Steve Gribbin has become one of the most acerbic political comics on the circuit, with an affable stage persona that belies his ruthlessly satirical songs. Gribbin never loses his temper or his sense of humour, yet these savage ditties are inspired by proper passionthe stuff he digs up just gets better all the time. A trenchant treat."  - THE GUARDIAN

John Fothergill has appeared on BBC 1's The Stand Up Show, and became a regular member of the Comedy Store's highly regarded Cutting Edge team

"John has slotted into the comedy circuit like a three pinned plug combining a unique style of embarrassing sexual revelations with a rural innocence." - Glee

These three cooky comedians will be hopping around China in a tour that takes them to Shanghai on Nov. 16 & 17, Beijing on Nov. 20 & 21, and HK on Nov. 22 & 23.

With two performance dates in Beijing, they can be seen both nights at Blue Frog's new Indigo branch starting at 8PM.  Dinner seating starts at 6:30PM and seats are first come, first serve.  I'd recommend getting there for an early bite to grab a seat closer to the stage.

Tickets are on sale now, call +86 10 65077027 or +86 13811440894.  You can also purchase tickets directly from Blue Frog Indigo branch.

While filming Tropic of Capricorn, Simon travelled through Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Mozambique, Madagascar, Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. The journey took him to stunning areas of the world, but it was also a chance for spontaneous discoveries about the changing global environment, poverty, globalisation, AIDS, the rise of the Chinese economy and the suffering of Africa.
