Organic Kitchen, the popular food delivery service, has opened up their first dining space on Fuxing Xi Lu. The team has already mastered the art of delivery, so we took a trip to the new café to check out what it's like to dine in.

The new dining spot occupies what was once Boxha Café. The owners have revamped the space with clean wooden tables and big comfy leather seats. It's modern yet cozy enough to make you feel like you could linger there for hours. The menu is still the same as their delivery options—a mix of organic salads, sandwiches, soups, Asian dishes, pastas, desserts and zesty juices. It's all solid but never overly exciting.

We started with the hummus (RMB56), which came with a side of soft pita triangles and organic vegetables. The chunky Mediterranean dip was spot on, with a well executed ratio of chickpeas, garlic, lemon and tahini.

The club sandwich (RMB56) was filling but forgettable. It came layered with chicken, egg, lettuce and tomato, but was missing the bacon—the star ingredient of any club.

The table favorite was the Indian mixed vegetable curry (RMB48). Hearty portions of seasonal vegetables come in a thick and heavy yellow curry paste, making it a perfect healthy winter warmer.
