- China 2012. Housing bubble in Jiangsu Province.

There is no need to be a great economic expert to see the extent of the housing bubble in China.
During the 305 km ride in train between Shanghai and Nanjing, I saw no less than 25 property programs identical to those one.
Groups of buildings of 16 floors and more, built in the middle of nowhere. Or more precisely on agricultural land without any real industries around.
Which will occupy?

- Australian tourism to boost in the coming year

下载安装Flash播放器It is estimated tourism expenditure in Australia to grow by 5.9 per cent to 71.9 billion U. S. dollars in 2012/13 from Chinese visitors and locals, according to a latest report on Friday by IBISWorld, the independent publisher of U.S. industry research.
The shift follows a tough five years for the industry, with spending falling in 2009 and 2011 due to the global economic downturn.
Domestic overnight trips are expected to grow by four per cent during the coming year, with spending rising 5.9 per cent, IBISWorld general manager Karen Dobie said.
"Tourism Australia's marketing efforts in China, and the gradual rebound of the UK and US economies, will support growth," Dobie mentioned. Visitors from China, India, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and the United States would make the most significant contribution to Australia's tourism industry.
The total spend on hotels, motels, resorts and serviced apartments is set to reach 11.4 billion U.S. dollars in 2012/13, the report said.
Dobie also said Chinese and Indian visitors would provide a boost for the retail sector, particularly luxury goods, but they also presented challenges such as the provision of language services and catering to their food tastes.

During the Shaman festival, the women performed first, carrying long khata scarves in their hands. Afterwards, the men came forward, dancing while beating drums. A few men climbed on to the roof of the entrance of the temple grounds and lit sang, or juniper branches, as an offering. Next, one man with a long braid emerged from the temple, shaking and spitting. As the oracle, he served as a medium for the mountain god. He emptied bottles of alcohol on the ground as an offering and other men stood around him, clearing his way. Then, two boys on stilts came out and danced while beating drums.
