East Hotel Opens Bold New Bar, XIAN

At first I thought this opening party was going to be invitation only, but after receiving multiple invites from different contacts, I've decided it's a free-for-all event and LDS readers ought to be entitled to the inside scoop for one of Beijing's most highly anticipated bar openings this year!

From all of my friends who have already enjoyed a weekend retreat at the new Swire hotel in Lido called East hotel, I've heard nothing but great things about both the hotel and its F&B establishment and although I have yet to step inside, I have no doubt the hotel will live up to the same quality standards showcased in Sanlitun Swire's Opposite House.

In addition to a bustling cafe called FEAST (Food by East) and a stylish contemporary Japanese restaurant called Hagaki, East hotel will be proudly presenting its bold new bar and lounge on the ground floor called Xian. Its design is inspired by neighboring 798′s industrial architecture with a spacious outdoor terrace. The lounge will be featuring live music and serving sophisticated cocktails along with a round-the-world whiskey selection of 130 different whiskeys to choose from at the bar.

"Fun loving Xian is an eclectic and exciting multi-element bar." - East Hotel

Opening party begins at 8PM this Friday, September 21.

I will be there and I suspect everyone and their mom will be there as well, at least before heading over to Migas for Moonlighting Party with DJ Usami and Patrick Yu.
