Sitting along the south line of the Tibet-Sichuan Highway, Bomi's breathtaking scenery comes from the mountains and lakes. The county of Bomi, which is situated in southeast Tibet, is the home of the Kaqin glacier, the largest marine type glacier in China. In May and April, Bomi has large areas of peach blossoms and highland barley that enhance the area's beauty. [Sohu.com]

The river that runs through this landscape is Chaktag Tsangpo ཆག་ ཐག་ གླིང་ that originate on the foot of "The Great ice Mountain ཆེན་པོ་འཁྱགས་པ་རི། chen po 'khyags pa ri" Mt Longpo Gangri, and wil finally drain into the River Yarlung Tsangpo ཡར་ཀླུངས་གཙང་པོ་ (Brahmaputra) near Kyakyaru (Ch Saga) the capital of Saga county.
