Good Things Come in Fours
Here's a totally random post. After two months of travel in China region, one common recurring photo is one where four girls are walking abreast down the street. I came across the first of these shots all the way back when I started off in Guangzhou.
There must be some unspoken rule that when you walk on the streets out here, you have to walk in fours. Here the ladies are walking arm in arm on one of Guangzhou's shopping streets. I call it the "4 abreast walking rule". LOL
The correct number is 4. Three is too little, and five is one too many. In this shot taken in the Miao minority village of Xijiang in Guizhou province, kid number 5 stands apart from the others, because yes, 5 is one too many.
Even little tykes do it. They have to start early; it's a tough skill to learn. This ones taken in Shangri-La.
Apparently this phenomenon is not just restricted to China. This is in Pyongyang in North Korea, after the end of the fireworks show during the 100 year celebrations.
Here's further proof on the streets of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The guy to the left is obviously not part of the four, and more likely he's hitting on one of them. Hahaha.
