Work on the highly anticipated Shanghai Disney Resort is speeding ahead as preparations on the groundwork have already been completed. Construction of the infrastructure is set to start soon.

Coming right after the successful resident relocation, site formation and phase one of project design, the hand-over ceremony marks a milestone in the resort’s construction.

The theme park will be the world’s sixth Disney amusement park and the first on

Chinese elements are being incorporated in the overall design, including events, food, and souvenirs. Covering nearly 1.2 square kilometers, the theme park will be the world’s sixth Disney amusement park and the first on the Chinese mainland. It is expected to open at the end of 2015.
